Male Cat aged Baby.
Lore, Legend, and Rune were born in mid-February, 2026. They were born inside; their original owner had to give them up to be fostered because they couldn't afford to keep them longer. Since they came to our house at eight weeks old, they have been handled super-often and are definitely trained to the lap. When I get down on the ground, they converge and climb aboard like that is where they belong, and when Steve takes a nap in the reading chair, it is the same, they climb aboard and join in his nap. They are not shy around people they don't know and they're used to the usual sounds and activities of a household. So that they can learn their social graces, it is best for kittens to be handled often by people and stay with like-age kittens through at least their eleventh week, which is when they receive their second round of vaccinations. As their foster parents, we provide an engaging and varied kitty playground which they use all day long, then at the end of the day, they spend a few hours in the home office with Steve where they get even more lap time.
Lore is a handsome medium-to-long-hair polydactyl white-fronted grey/tabby male. He is full of spunk, to be sure. He is definitely sweet and people-oriented and loves the lap, but his opinioned side comes out from time to time.
Legend is a short-to-medium-hair classic tabby male with pretty eyes on the blue/green side. This guy is quite gorgeous for those of us who are tabby fans. He is also extremely sweet and probably is the biggest lap-lover of a lap-loving litter. When he does not have a lap to own, he is highly active and loves playing with his siblings.
Rune is a medium-to-long-haired Siamese polydactyl male with a pink nose and gorgeous blue eyes. While Siamese often darken up as they get older, Rune is going to be on the lighter side. Steve swears that Rune comes when he is called, but it is probably just that he can not wait to climb into the offered lap. That is to say, Rune has developed into a highly people-oriented kitty after getting a slow start on being social. Rune is especially fond of the kitty hotels, the big boxes we have provided that have lots of holes for entering and exiting.
The kittens use the litterbox well, are dewormed several times over, and will have two rounds of kitten vaccinations before they go home with you. They will need one more round of kitten shots and neutering once they are in your care. There is an adoption fee of $90 for a single kitten, although the Siamese are considered fancy and have a higher fee of $115. Keep in mind that if you adopt two or more kitties, each additional adoption fee(s) will be reduced by $20. We fosters are volunteers, so the adoption fee goes entirely to ACAT so that ACAT can continue in its mission to rescue kitties in need. In addition to the adoption fee, there is a refundable alter deposit of $75. ACAT will refund this fee once you show us that the kitty has been altered.
Be sure to see the Google photo album of pictures of the litter:

When you join the photo album, you will be able to see when new pictures and videos are added. You'll notice there are more kittens than Lore, Legend, and Rune; their siblings Promise, Tribute, Remy, Saga, and Story have found homes. We keep a photo album so that you can get familiar with the kitties before we take the next step in the adoption process, which is a phone interview. If things progress beyond the initial phone interview, we will invite you to come over and meet the kitty(ies) in which you are interested.
Before the initial phone interview, please fill out ACAT's preadoption application online (https://www.alaskacatadoptionteam.org/forms.html). These kitties are fostering in Anchorage in the U-Med area. Contact their foster family Steve & Heidi at 907-444-9595. If it is before noon on a weekday, send a text versus calling, but if it is after noon or on the weekend, go ahead and call. If there is no answer, please send a text rather than leaving a voicemail. Talk to you soon!
