Unknown Cat aged 12 weeks.
Toesie, Cinder, and Toyo were born mid-August, 2025 They were born inside, but lived their first seven weeks inside a cage in a living room. After a few days of learning how to run around and play with toys, they've been having a great kittenhood!
So that they can learn their social graces, it is best for kittens to be handled often and stay with like-age kittens through their eleventh or twelfth week. As their foster parents, we provide a marvelous and varied kitty playground which they use all day long, then at the end of the day, they spend a few hours in the home office with Steve. This means that in addition to tons of playtime, they have tons of lap time! All three are avid lap-lovers.
Toya is a medium-to-long-fur black male. Toyo loves to play with his brothers, but then he does an exceptional job relaxing. From early on, Toyo has not only allowed us to roll him over on his back, he seems to really like having his tummy petted. Speaking of petting, Toyo does not take no for an answer when he wants to be petted. That is to say, he soaks up the pets and purrs well. Toyo has a calm, solid, and loving personality.
Cinder is a short-to-medium-fur black male with a few white hairs on his chest. Cinder is a sweetheart with a streak of the dickens in him! Cinder has loved people from the moment he arrived and comes running to get pets when he hears our voices. Being the smallest of the three, he got hit hardest with an illness that took him out for a few days, but he recovered fine and has come out with a heightened appreciation of food. He certainly lets us know when it is time for feeding! Cinder purrs well, immediately upon touch, and often.
Toesie is a polydactyl short-fur tuxedo male. Toesie is adventurous, robust, and people-loving. Toesie loves to play with his brothers and he plays hard, to be sure, but he also loves his naps and snuggling with siblings and people. Toesie is the first foster kitten we have had who eats only dry kibble. Strangely, he is not interested in the wet pate the others eat. Toesie has, as you might guess, lots of toes! 24 in all with seven on each forepaw and five on each rear. The internet says that is pretty rare. It is the most toes we have seen on a cat! Toesie purrs well, loudly, and often.
The kittens use the litterbox well, are dewormed several times over, and will have two rounds of kitten vaccinations before they go home with you. They will need one more round of kitten shots and neutering once they are in your care. There is an adoption fee of $90 for a single kitten. Keep in mind that if you adopt two or more kitties, each additional adoption fee(s) will be reduced by $20. We fosters are volunteers, so the adoption fee goes entirely to ACAT so that ACAT can continue in its mission to rescue kitties in need. In addition to the adoption fee, there is a refundable alter deposit of $75. ACAT will refund this fee once you show us that the kitty has been altered.

When you join the photo album, you will be able to see when new pictures and videos are added. We keep an extensive photo album so that you can get familiar with the kitties before we take the next step in the adoption process, which is a phone interview. If things progress beyond the initial phone interview, we will invite you to come over and meet the kitty(ies) in which you are interested.
To learn more about the kitten(ies) in which you are interested, fill out ACAT's preadoption application online. These kitties are fostering in Anchorage in the U-Med area. Contact his foster family Steve & Heidi at 907-444-9595. If it is before noon on a weekday, send a text versus calling, but if it is after noon or on the weekend, go ahead and call. If there is no answer, then send a text.
