Female Cat aged Teen.
Aranga is an altered, female calico teen cat. Aranga is one of several cats we rescued in October. We estimate she was born in the summer of '24 and she has several siblings, half-siblings and relatives. The cats lived in an unheated outbuilding, received very minimal care, and experienced little human interaction. A caring neighbor called ACAT for help.
When they arrived in foster care, all the cats from this colony were very shy and sick. They hadn't been handled and required basic medical treatments, but all appreciated living indoors in a warm, loving foster home, and getting regular meals.
Aranga is very curious but also cautious. She makes sure her surroundings are safe before exploring new rooms. Aranga enjoys playing with the feather wand and wrestling any of the other cats and kittens in the foster home.
If you are comfortable working with a shy cat, we feel she will reward your patience. She has made great progress in just two months and we hope it's a sign she will continue to make progress and become an affectionate kitty.
She enjoys pets, but she is not comfortable yet, being picked up and held. It will likely take some time but Aranga is a smart girl and we have faith in her.
Aranga has received all her kitten vaccines and is spayed and microchipped. She is fostered in Anchorage, and for more information, please call/text her foster mom, Silvia at (907) 717-9300.
