Pepper

Male Dog aged 8 years, weighing 132.0 lb.

Meet Pepper – a dog of remarkable character and unforgettable charm. At 8 years old and 132 pounds, this gentle giant is searching for a home where he can live out his golden years with a true companion by his side. He needs a place without other animals or small children – just a calm, loving environment where he can shine as the one and only.

Pepper is a big guy with a big personality. He loves nothing more than setting off on adventure hikes, cruising along in the car with the music up and windows down, and lounging by the river after a day of exploring. But his greatest joy of all? Snow. Pepper is absolutely obsessed with it – the crunch under his paws, the taste of it on his tongue, the cool embrace of it all. He loves snow so much that he often flops down and makes what we affectionately call “Pepper Angels” the moment he feels it beneath him.

Pepper’s journey hasn’t been easy. Found as a stray in Oregon, underweight and unwell, he was taken in by a kind stranger and eventually made his way through multiple shelters before arriving with us in 2021. Despite these hardships, he has blossomed into a resilient, affectionate, and intelligent dog who has rediscovered joy in life. His determination, coupled with his playful spirit, makes him an extraordinary companion.

Pepper thrives on connection. He bonds deeply with the people he trusts, and he delights in learning new things – especially when cheese or hash browns are involved. He isn’t one to sit idly by; Pepper craves adventure and engagement. Whether he’s wandering along a trail, or sticking his nose out the car window, he lives life with unmatched enthusiasm.

Pepper is more than a dog. He is resilient, loyal, and full of love, ready to give his whole heart to the right person. Could you be the one to give Pepper the home he’s been waiting for? With you, his golden years can be everything they were meant to be – joyful, adventurous, and filled with love.
