Kaneq (Frost, in Yupik), is a sweet, little female kitten, born on 2/23/26, She is mostly white, with tabby markings in interesting spots along her body. She has the most amazing, deep grey eyes. She was found on someone's porch with her brother, Anguyak (Warrior), at 2 weeks old. They were both underweight and abandoned but neither were sick. With diligence, one of our amazing fosters nursed them both back to a healthy weight. While they are a little small for their age, they are healthy and happy little kittens, ready to find their forever home!
Anguyak and Kaneq are a bonded pair and would love to be adopted together. Their first foster mom requested they stay together, for they get very upset and cry for each other when separated. While they sometimes sleep apart, if one wakes up and can't find their sibling, you can hear the slight panic in their cries. They have been through a lot together and we believe that separating them would not be in their best interest. Bonded kittens and cats make for some of the best companions around, and we are confident, we can find the perfect family for these two sweethearts, together.
Kaneq is a bit more timid of the two but she is also very sure of herself in how she handles her brother and the competition of play and exploring. She loves to explore and to attack anything that looks like a toy or a prey, or just her little brother! She is also very sweet and loving. While she doesn't climb into your lap, she runs up and lays against your arm in a sweet snuggle. Then she rolls over and asks for belly rubs. She loves belly rubs! And she has the best purr. She wants to be close to her person, but she also gets nervous sometimes. Once she feels secure, she will be the most affectionate, loving kitty. And she adores her brother. They do everything together: eat, snuggle, play, and cause chaos!
