Female Dog aged Young Adult.
Bella is an approximately 10-month-old Shepherd mix that may look full grown but is still very much a puppy! She’s energetic, goofy and still learning her manners. She knows basic commands, is kennel trained and house trained, although excitement can occasionally cause an accident. She also does well walking on a leash. Other dogs can bark at her all they want, but she doesn't even give them the time of day - no interest in barking back and does great when with other dogs.
Bella would do best somewhere with a lot of space; in the country, farm, or on acreage where she has plenty of room to safely roam. She is happiest at the farm with her fosters and loves having freedom, space and she doesn’t run away. When at her foster home in town she does great minding the electric fence.
Bella LOVES kids and is incredibly tolerant and gentle with them. Because she’s big, excited and likes to jump up for face kisses, we think kids 8+ would be best.
As stated, she’s still a puppy and working on manners. If you leave food on the counter, she may consider it hers, and she hasn’t completely figured out that everything you own isn’t a chew toy.
Bella needs someone who understands a big, energetic young dog and will continue her training while giving her the space and activity she needs. We also think she may have potential for advanced training or a working/service-dog program with the right professional evaluation.
Bella is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.
